WEEK ONE - BEETHOVEN AT 250

WEEK ONE

BEETHOVEN AT 250

Beethoven lived during a time of tremendous social and political upheaval. His uncanny ability to transcend his own personal challenges, as well as those of European society, served as inspiration for both his contemporaries and centuries of listeners, even to this very day. We celebrate his life with one of his most popular early works and one of his most profound later works as a tribute to the scope of his extraordinary artistic journey.

ANTON REICHA – Wind Quintet, No.3 in D, Op. 91
BEETHOVEN – Piano Sonata, No.31 in Ab, Op.110
BEETHOVEN – Septet in Eb, Op.20
