MOLLY FREDERICK
Molly Frederick is a professional French horn player and professor. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois where she was a recipient of the Thomas J. Smith scholarship, and her master’s degree from the University of Southern California where she was a recipient of both the Brass Chamber Music award and the Vince De Rosa Award. Molly is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Music in Horn Performance and Literature at Indiana University. An active freelancer, She has played with many prestigious groups across the country, including the Pacific Symphony, South Bend Symphony, the 2017 Disneyland All-American College Band, The Orchestra Now, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Peoria Symphony Orchestra, and the Wheaton Municipal Band. Besides orchestra, Molly is also co-founder of the horn duo
Two Much Horns along with her friend and colleague Lizzie Cooksey. Molly serves as Instructor of Horn at both Elgin Community College and Eastern Illinois University. In her downtime Molly enjoys spending time with friends and family, crocheting, and hanging out with her dog Coco.
