ALESSANDRO CIRAFICI
Alessandro Cirafici is currently Principal Oboist of the Boston Civic Symphony and has appeared with ensembles such as Boston Pops, Portland Symphony, Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony, and Phoenix Orchestra. Additionally, he was a fellow at Tanglewood Music Center and has performed under the batons of Andris Nelsons, Herbert Blomstedt, Alan Gilbert, and Stefan and double Bachelor’s degrees in German Studies and Oboe Performance from Bard College Conservatory of Music; he studied in the studios of John Ferrillo and Elaine Douvas, respectively. A dedicated teacher himself, Alessandro recently joined the Brookline Music School as Oboe Faculty and frequently coaches sectionals and chamber music with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra.
