DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the North Country Chamber Players’ 2024 Gala Concert & Dinner\, sponsored by Ridgeline Wealth Management.\nJoin us for an unforgettable evening in the Crystal Ballroom of the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa. \nOur featured soloist for this year’s Spring Gala will be pianist\, EJ Hwang. In addition to being an outstanding jazz pianist\, she is also a successful composer\, teacher and lecturer. She will be joined by nine musicians for this magnificent performance. \nGeorge Gershwin is\, by far\, the most celebrated American composer in the World. Premiered exactly 100 years ago\, his Rhapsody in Blue fused Jazz and western classical music in ways no one had ever done before. Come celebrate with the North Country Chamber Players as they perform this beloved work and find out the extraordinary true story of how it came to be in the first place. \nAbout the Seating: Tables can accommodate 8-10 people. We will assign you to a table or kindly convey any preferences and table configurations with your ticket purchase\, or email director@northcountrychamberplayers.org at time of reservation. Please know that during the concert portion of the evening\, some may prefer to move their chairs to better enjoy the performance\, and this is encouraged. \nHow the Evening will Flow: Doors will open at 5:15; enjoy the company\, try the signature event cocktail/mocktail Rhapsody and peruse the raffle items. At 6pm the concert will begin followed by dinner. The evening will end with raffle drawings. \nSpecial Notes: \nAttire reflective of the Jazz Age\, Roaring Twenties or Blue is welcome.\nThe centerpieces will be created by our friends at the White Mountain Garden Club who share the 2024\, 100th year anniversary\, with George Gershwin’s masterpiece “Rhapsody in Blue.”
