DESCRIPTION:Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is an avatar of musical excellence. A three-time Grammy Award winner\, he has been nominated for a Tony and an EMMY\, as a composer\, and was recognized as a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts.\nAn ensemble player extraordinaire\, he joins the North Country Chamber Players for a program of music by American Masters\, old and new\, from George Gershwin to Valerie Coleman. \n  \nValerie Coleman: American Vein for oboe and double bass \nEllen Taafe Zwillich: Quintet for alto sax and string quartet \nRufus Reid: Cross Currents for alto sax\, double bass and piano \nValerie Coleman: Maombi asante for flute\, violin and ‘cello \nGeorge Gershwin: Song Medley \n  \nThe North Country Chamber Players have adopted a “Pay-What-You-Wish” ticket pricing for concerts. Seating is limited\, so attendees are asked to make free online reservations.\nThe recommended ticket price is $25\, payable at the door\, but there is no minimum ticket price required for entry.
