KEMP JERNIGAN

A native of Gulf Shores Alabama, Kemp Jernigan performs extensively in and around New York City in ensembles varying in size and style. A recent graduate of the Yale School of Music, Kemp has been a guest artist at festivals such as Bridgehampton, Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society, Ocean Reef, Washington Friends of Music, Black Hills Chamber Music Society, and Millbrook Music Assembly. He has performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, including their 2016 Japan tour, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Cygnus Ensemble, Mark Morris Dance Group Ensemble as well as the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra. Performing with these ensembles and festivals has led him to meet and play with many incredible people and live a life of sharing his love for music with others. Kemp received his Bachelor of Music degree from The Hartt School at The University of Hartford, Performer’s Certificate from SUNY Purchase and Master of Music degree from The Yale School of Music.
