A founding member of the Chamber Players, Ronnie Bauch served as its Artistic Director from 1984 to 2003. Also a long time member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Ronnie has served as its Managing Director since September 2002.

As a violinist, he has toured throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia with Orpheus and many other ensembles. He has been a soloist with the American Symphony, the Long Island Philharmonic, the American Composer’s Orchestra, the Westchester Philharmonic and the Orchestra da Camera.

As a chamber musician, Bauch has appeared at music festivals throughout the US including Aspen, Cabrillo, Bard, and NH Music Festivals. He has participated in numerous radio and TV broadcasts around the world and has recorded for Deutsche Gramophone, Sony, Nonesuch, and Decca, among others.

From 1994-97, Bauch served as chamber music advisor to Carnegie Hall’s Link-Up Educational Program, and he has also played a major role in the development of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra’s outreach program, as well.

In May 2000, Slate magazine (www.slate.com) featured Ronnie in a weeklong series of articles chronicling the life of a touring orchestra musician.
